Animals

Animals have feelings too

Just like us, animals have feelings and emotions, and their experiences can affect them in different ways. They may not be able to tell us what’s going on, but changes in their behaviour or the way they respond to certain situations can sometimes show us that something isn’t quite right.

An animal may become anxious, nervous or unsettled following a frightening or difficult experience, or you may simply notice a change in them without knowing exactly why.

I use the same energy-balancing approach with animals that I use with people. Each session is completely body-led, so rather than assuming what your animal needs, I follow their lead and work with whatever they are ready to address. You can also let me know about any particular emotional, behavioural or general wellbeing concern you’d like me to look at.

Sessions are carried out remotely, and afterwards I’ll email you a report explaining what came up and what we worked on. If your animal needs more ongoing support, the Animal Support Pack gives us the opportunity to work together over eight sessions, following their lead throughout.

Example:

Many animals, particularly dogs in my experience, can become frightened by thunderstorms, fireworks and other loud or unfamiliar noises. Sometimes a frightening experience can also affect the way an animal responds to similar situations in the future.

For example, an animal that has been frightened or hurt by another animal may become nervous, anxious or reactive when they encounter other animals. They can’t tell us what they’re feeling or why they’re responding that way, so sometimes the reason behind a change in behaviour isn’t immediately obvious.

Energy balancing gives me a gentle way to explore what may be coming up for your animal. Just as I do when working with people, I follow their body’s lead rather than making assumptions about what needs to be worked on.

Every animal is different, and each session is guided by what they are ready to address at the time.

"My dog, a 7-year-old Labrador, was attacked by another dog, when he was 2 years old. Since then he became very aggressive to other dogs, which meant I had to muzzle him and lead walk him everywhere. I couldn’t let him near other dogs as he would bark very aggressively and has even bitten one! I sent Clare a photo of him, and after only 2 sessions with her, he is like a different dog! He has no muzzle now and can be off his lead to socialise nicely with other dogs. This is amazing work Clare does, and would have never believed it if I hadn’t seen it for myself"
